Jennifer
Mauet began her legal studies at California Western School of Law in
San Diego, California. During this time she was a member of the
Women’s Law Caucus which raised awareness and money for women’s
legal issues. During her final year of school she interned and then
became the only law clerk at The Law Office of Randall C. Rechs,
where she was exposed to the practice and administration of a civil
litigation firm. She gained a head start over her contemporaries
when she became certified to represent her clients in depositions,
settlements, and court hearings, all while sharpening her legal
research and persuasive writing skills.
After graduating from law school, Jennifer moved back to Tucson,
Arizona. Wanting to broaden the area of her legal expertise, she
began working at The Law Office of Alfred McDonald. She has always
been a fighter for legal rights and social justice making her
addition to the office a perfect fit. Her priority is getting her
clients the best possible outcome in their cases and making the
legal process more bearable.
Jennifer moved to Tucson when she was three years old. After
graduating from St. Gregory College Preparatory School, she decided
to stay close to home to attend college at the University of
Arizona. She finished with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology.
After college, Jennifer worked with the state legislature in the
promotion of legal and human rights for the citizens of Arizona. She
then spent time working at the Arizona State Hospital in the Arizona
Community Protection and Treatment Center for convicted sex
offenders. She worked along attorneys, psychiatrists, and counselors
to prepare court-mandated evaluations of the residents in the
Center. She credits these experiences with planting seeds of
motivation which eventually led her to become an attorney.
By spending most of her life growing up in Tucson, Jennifer has been
involved in numerous activities across the border including:
volunteering in Tijuana, Mexico, attending a semester of school in
Zamora, Spain, and working in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. She is
bilingual in Spanish and English.
She feels a sense of community with her fellow Arizonans and is
proud to defend their rights. She is highly dedicated to her work,
she is devoted to her clients, and she is committed to preserving
the rights of the criminally accused.
